About the Company
The company is a Malaysian engineering solutions provider specialising in motor speed control, power transmission and power quality, and is part of an engineering group established in 1996. It is the agent and distributor for leading global manufacturers of AC/DC drives, servo systems, motors and gear reducers, and also delivers PLC/SCADA system integration, building and energy management systems, and power quality and harmonic solutions for customers across Malaysia, including semiconductor plants, data centres, medical centres and manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor RHF & AHF installation projects from preparation to completion.
- Coordinate site activities including equipment installation, cabling, testing and commissioning.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure installation works follow approved drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to coordinate site work and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor project progress, site schedule, manpower, materials and equipment.
- Perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of RHF & AHF systems at customer sites.
- Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and technical documents before installation.
- Ensure work complies with applicable electrical standards, QA/QC procedures and project requirements.
- Prepare site reports, testing/commissioning reports and other project documentation.
- Provide technical support to the project team and assist with customer handover and basic system operation guidance.
- Report project progress, site issues and corrective actions to the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
- 1-2 years in engineering.
- Experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning or project engineering.
- Experience with RHF, AHF, power quality or harmonic mitigation systems is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Able to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Willing to travel and work at customer sites when required.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Own transport required.
- Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (occasional Saturday work, about once or twice a month).
- Willing to work in Bandar Bukit Mahkota, Kajang, Selangor.
