About the Company
The company is a boutique advisory firm operating at the frontier of financial services, payments, and digital assets. It helps clients across Asia and China to secure overseas financial licences and acquire regulated entities, acting as their outsourced legal and compliance partner across multiple jurisdictions and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Drive talent acquisition as the core of the role, leading recruitment and screening, and maintaining a ready pipeline of international AML and compliance professionals for regulated fintech operations
- Source and secure qualified local management executives and representatives across various jurisdictions (Switzerland, New Zealand, Latvia, etc) to meet the local-presence requirements central to the company's cross-border licensing work.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and records management, with the discipline and confidentiality expected of a standalone HR lead.
- Act as a trusted partner to the founders and senior stakeholders, engaging confidently with high-calibre professionals and international counterparts across time zones.
- Champion team culture and engagement, from internal communications and announcements to festive celebrations, team-building, and staff initiatives.
- Set and track OKRs for individuals and the company, keeping people objectives aligned with business performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of talent acquisition or people operations experience, ideally with meaningful time in a senior or standalone capacity.
- Exposure to fintech, financial services, technology, or other regulated industries is a distinct advantage.
- Confident managing talent across multiple entities and at ease in a lean, fast-changing environment.
- An exceptional communicator, this is the heart of the role, able to liaise with overseas counterparts and manage senior stakeholders with ease.
- Independent, practical, organised, and solutions-oriented, with sound judgement and a bias for action.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential, to serve Mandarin-speaking clients and partners and to liaise across international markets.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 7.30pm.
- Willing to work in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
