About the Company
The company is a boutique advisory firm focused exclusively on the financial services, payments, and crypto space. It supports clients, primarily across Asia and Greater China, in obtaining overseas financial licences and acquiring regulated entities, acting as their outsourced legal and compliance partner. Operating at the intersection of law, regulation, and fast-moving financial innovation, it is a lean, young team that values clarity, ownership, and practical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations and employee administration, including allowances and company-funded devices; formulate internal guidelines and payment plans.
- Draft, implement, and maintain HR policies and SOPs aligned with company practices and Malaysia employment norms.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, leave, attendance, and records management.
- Lead recruitment and candidate screening for employees and interns, maintaining a reserve pool of international AML and compliance professionals for regulated fintech operations.
- Source and engage suitable local directors and representatives across overseas jurisdictions (such as Switzerland, Latvia, and New Zealand) to fulfil the local-presence requirements of the company's international licensing work.
- Coordinate internal communications, announcements, festive gifts, team-building, and staff engagement initiatives.
- Set OKRs for employees and the company to align objectives with business performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of HR / People Operations experience, preferably in a senior role.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end HR operations, policies, and SOPs.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, technology, or regulated industries is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable managing HR across multiple entities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with overseas counterparts and manage senior, high-calibre stakeholders.
- Independent, practical, organised, and solutions-oriented with strong judgement.
- Languages: English and Mandarin (fluency in both is essential, to serve Mandarin-speaking clients and liaise with international counterparts).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 7.30pm.
- Willing to work in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
