About the Company
The company is an established industrial plant builder based in Shah Alam, Selangor, incorporated in 1999 as a supplier of engineering components and spares for palm oil mills. It has since grown into a turnkey industrial plant contractor and proprietary equipment manufacturer, with operations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Responsibilities
- To prepare monthly management reports and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of accounts.
- To prepare and review financial schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents, including bank reconciliation, debtors and creditors ageing, intercompany balances, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, deposits, loans and other balance sheet items.
- To supervise Indonesia finance team to ensure subsidiary accounts, financial schedules and reporting packages are prepared and submitted on a timely basis.
- To assist in project accounting and project financial monitoring, including project costing, project revenue, project expenses, variation orders, retention sums, project profitability and project cash flow.
- To supervise, guide and work closely with Account Executives and other accounts staff to ensure assigned tasks are properly carried out and completed within the required timeline.
- To assist the Finance Director in finance, treasury, cash flow management, banking facilities, loans, fixed deposits, bank guarantees, foreign currency transactions and other financing-related matters.
- To assist the Finance Director in annual audit, taxation, SST and statutory compliance matters, including preparation of audit schedules, tax schedules and supporting documents.
- To liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, overseas finance team, suppliers, customers, government authorities and other relevant parties when necessary.
- To assist in preparing financial analysis and reports required by Management, including profit and loss analysis, balance sheet review, cash flow forecast, project profitability report, debtor and creditor ageing report and other ad hoc reports.
- To ensure compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, internal controls, approval limits and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- To undertake any ad hoc assignments, duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Finance Director, Management or the Company from time to time.
Requirements
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, etc. Finalist of professional qualification will also be considered or Degree of Accounting with not less than 3 years of working experience.
- Good Knowledge in Microsoft Office & Auto count accounting system.
- Exposure in engineering, construction & plantation environment will be added Advantage.
- Knowledge of percentage of completion (POC) accounting method is Preferred.
- Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese (added advantage).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm.
- Willing to work in Seksyen 32, Shah Alam.
