About the Company
The company, from humble beginnings in 1985 as a small stall in a morning market, has grown into a fresh produce importer and retailer, operating a wholesale market in Klang Valley with a diverse range of products.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, covering both dry storage and cold storage (chiller/freezer).
- Plan warehouse layout, storage locations, and manpower allocation for a smooth, organised operation.
- Recruit, train, and retain a reliable warehouse team, including onboarding new staff with proper SOP training.
- Ensure accuracy of stock receiving and inter-branch transfers (IBT) to all outlets, with minimal errors and discrepancies.
- Drive stock loss reduction through good inventory control, stock rotation, and regular audits.
- Report warehouse performance to Management on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM qualification.
- At least 3-5 years' experience managing a warehouse or distribution centre, preferably in retail, FMCG, or supermarket operations.
- Experience handling both dry goods and cold chain/perishable storage is an advantage.
- Good understanding of inventory control, stock transfer processes, and stock-loss prevention.
- Strong leadership skills - able to build, train, and retain a warehouse team.
- Hands-on, organised, and comfortable working on the warehouse floor.
- Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
- Working Hours: 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 4.30pm.
- Willing to work in Kawasan Industri Kampung Jaya, Sungai Buloh.
