Sales Manager – Shah Alam, Selangor

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and business development in Malaysia and potentially other specific SEA markets to be assigned
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new customers and grow sales in existing customers
  • Servicing existing customers, build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationship through regular interactions with key contacts
  • Achieving sales targets and growth by assessing current customers’ needs with closely follow up and managing on order intake
  • Resolves customer complaints by gathering relevant information and working closely with internal Technical team
  • Regular coordination and cooperation with internal departments (Production, Quality, Planning & Internal Sales)
  • Monitor competition activities by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and business direction
  • Provide effective, accurate and timely communication of market, competitor and customer needs
  • Keep management informed by submitting weekly and monthly plan and activity reports

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in technical field, commerce, business development or equivalent
  • Proven track record in sales and business development in Malaysia/SEA
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in technical sales; preferably in the industrial packaging or Cement/Building Materials/Chemical industry
  • Good communication, negotiation and sales skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to handle people of different organization levels
  • Strong analytical thinker, structured in his/her approach
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70%
  • Independent with ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneously priorities
  • Feels comfortable in a demanding, international surrounding
  • Good MS-Office skills (Excel, PPT)
  • Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
  • Willing to work in Shah Alam
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm
